  • 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour for coating the chicken
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying
For the Sauce
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey adjust sweetness to taste
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with flour until coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.
Sauce Preparation
  1. In the same skillet, combine orange juice, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a simmer.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water until smooth, then add it to the sauce to thicken.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
Serving
  1. Season with salt and pepper, and serve over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

Make sure to coat the chicken pieces evenly with flour for a crispy texture. You can add steamed vegetables on the side for a complete meal. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
