- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a large bowl, mix ground meat, eggs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until combined.
- Press the meat mixture evenly into the pie dish to form a compact layer.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until fully cooked. Remove and carefully drain excess liquid.
- Spread marinara sauce over the baked meat base. Top with mozzarella cheese and optional toppings.
- Return to oven and bake 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Drain excess liquid after the first bake for best texture. You can substitute ground turkey for a leaner version. Sauté vegetables before adding to prevent excess moisture.
