Chocolate Cookie Dough
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  6. Combine cinnamon and sugar for the coating. Roll dough into balls and coat generously.
  7. Place cookies on baking sheets and bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Do not overbake these cookies. They will continue to set as they cool and stay soft and chewy inside.
