Instructions
- Cook the chicken tenders according to package directions in the oven or air fryer until golden brown and crispy.
- In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, yellow mustard, honey, salt, and pepper until smooth to make the honey mustard sauce.
- Lightly warm or toast the hot dog buns in the oven or on a skillet until soft and slightly golden.
- Place one hot chicken tender inside each bun. Immediately top with a slice of cheese so it begins to melt.
- Add shredded lettuce and drizzle generously with honey mustard sauce. Serve immediately while warm and crispy.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute half of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt. You can also add pickles, jalapeƱos, or swap cheddar for Pepper Jack for extra flavor.
