Fresh Strawberries
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
Batter Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar Divided. Use 1/4 cup for strawberries.
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Make sure to grease your baking dish well.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup of sugar and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla until everything is well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Spoon the strawberries over the batter but do not stir.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown and set.
  2. Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy it warm!

Notes

Best served warm, this cobbler can be topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. It pairs nicely with coffee or tea. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. To reheat, warm in the oven or microwave.
