Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sourdough starter, milk, sugar, melted butter, salt, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise overnight in the refrigerator.
Baking
- In the morning, roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread melted butter over the surface and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for about 1-2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm.
Notes
Serve warm with a drizzle of icing, or enjoy plain. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
