Spices
  • 3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground clove
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice

Method
 

Slow Cooking the Ham
  1. Place the ham in a slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix together melted butter, honey, sugar, seasoned salt, onion powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, paprika, ginger, ground clove, and allspice.
  3. Pour this mixture over the ham.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, until the ham is heated through.
Broiling the Ham
  1. After slow cooking, remove the ham from the slow cooker and place it on a baking sheet.
  2. Preheat your broiler.
  3. Brush some of the cooking liquid over the ham.
  4. Broil for about 5-10 minutes or until the ham is nicely browned and caramelized. Watch carefully to prevent burning.

Notes

Store leftover ham in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 to 5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. For extra flavor, let the glaze sit on the ham for a while before cooking.
