Slow Cooking the Ham
- Place the ham in a slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix together melted butter, honey, sugar, seasoned salt, onion powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, paprika, ginger, ground clove, and allspice.
- Pour this mixture over the ham.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, until the ham is heated through.
Broiling the Ham
- After slow cooking, remove the ham from the slow cooker and place it on a baking sheet.
- Preheat your broiler.
- Brush some of the cooking liquid over the ham.
- Broil for about 5-10 minutes or until the ham is nicely browned and caramelized. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
Notes
Store leftover ham in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 to 5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. For extra flavor, let the glaze sit on the ham for a while before cooking.
