  • 10 oz Linguine or spaghetti
  • 4 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Fresh ginger, grated optional
Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Beef broth
  • 1/3 cup Brown sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp Hoisin sauce optional
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp Water for cornstarch slurry
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 3 Green onions, sliced for garnish
  • 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes optional

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, and hoisin sauce. In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch with water.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss until evenly coated in the sauce. Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with sliced green onions and red pepper flakes before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken. Add vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas for extra nutrition. Adjust sweetness and spice level to taste.
