  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch salt
  • Decorative money or chocolate coins for garnish Customize with real coins (cleaned and wrapped) or various chocolate coins.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Add the milk and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  3. Once cooled, decorate the cake with money or chocolate coins for a fun presentation.

Notes

The LBE Money Cake can be served as is or with a scoop of ice cream on the side. It looks lovely on a cake stand or decorated plate.
