- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix diced apples, brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch until well combined.
- Roll out the pie crusts and cut into equal circles. Place a spoonful of apple filling in the center of each.
- Fold the dough over the filling, seal the edges with a fork, and cut a small slit on top for steam.
- Whisk the egg with water and brush over the tops of the hand pies.
- Bake for 22–25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly.
- Mix powdered sugar with milk to form a smooth glaze and drizzle over warm hand pies before serving.
Notes
These apple hand pies are best served warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze unglazed pies for later use.
