  • 0.75 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 0.5 cup Light brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups Semisweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
  8. While cookies are still warm, use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes. Let cool before serving.
