- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream the butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
- While cookies are still warm, use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes. Let cool before serving.
