Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
Main Ingredient
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped Make sure they are fresh and ripe.
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry juice or water Add more for a thicker glaze.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk.
  4. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. While the bread is baking, prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar with strawberry juice or water until smooth.
Finishing
  1. Once the bread is cooled, drizzle the strawberry glaze over the top and let it set before slicing.
  2. Serve the Glazed Strawberry Bread warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or place in an airtight container to keep fresh for up to 3 days. It can be stored in the fridge for about a week or frozen for up to 3 months. Enjoy plain, or with butter or cream cheese.
