  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 0.5 cup Onion, finely diced
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
Cheese & Flavorings
  • 16 oz Velveeta-style processed cheese, cubed
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, cubed
  • 10 oz Diced tomatoes with green chilies undrained
  • 2 tbsp Taco seasoning
  • 0.5 cup Milk add more as needed

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Add the diced onion and garlic and cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant. Drain excess grease.
  2. Transfer the cooked beef mixture to the slow cooker. Add the processed cheese, cream cheese, diced tomatoes, taco seasoning, and milk.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 1½ to 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted and smooth.
  4. Adjust the consistency with additional milk if needed. Serve warm directly from the slow cooker.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef. Keep the dip on the WARM setting when serving to maintain a smooth, creamy texture.
