- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, chives, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Separate crescent roll dough into triangles. Place a spoonful of filling onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough around the filling, sealing the edges to form pillows. Place seam-side down in the baking dish.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the dough is fully cooked and lightly golden.
- Brush the hot chicken pillows with melted butter, then sprinkle or roll them in Italian breadcrumbs before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with mashed potatoes, gravy, or a simple green salad. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
