- Peel, core, and dice apples into small cubes. Toss lightly with a pinch of cinnamon and set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Fold diced apples gently into the dough until evenly distributed.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto lined baking sheet, spacing cookies apart.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes until edges are golden and centers remain soft.
- Cool slightly, then drizzle caramel sauce over cookies before serving.
Notes
