Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Hand Mixer
  • Spatula

Method

Instructions
  1. Peel, core, and dice apples into small cubes. Toss lightly with a pinch of cinnamon and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, cream softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  6. Fold diced apples gently into the dough until evenly distributed.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto lined baking sheet, spacing cookies apart.
  8. Bake for 12–14 minutes until edges are golden and centers remain soft.
  9. Cool slightly, then drizzle caramel sauce over cookies before serving.

Notes

For best texture, chill dough 20 minutes if too soft. Use firm apples for better structure and flavor. Store cookies in airtight container up to 3 days or freeze for 2 months.
