Preparation
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and garlic until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- In a crockpot, layer half of the chopped cabbage at the bottom.
- Add half of the browned beef mixture on top, followed by half of the rice.
- Pour half of the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes over the top.
- Repeat with the remaining cabbage, beef, rice, and sauces.
- Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the cabbage is tender and rice is cooked.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, warm it up in the microwave or on the stovetop until heated through.
