Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until tender.
- Add the ground beef, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced potatoes, cooked beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, and milk. Stir until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, and top with shredded cheese.
Baking
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs like parsley or chives. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
