Instructions
- Bake the pie crust according to instructions and let it cool completely.
- Beat the butter and sugar together until very light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
- Add the melted, cooled chocolate and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating for several minutes after each addition to create a silky texture.
- Spread the chocolate filling into the cooled crust and refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours until set.
- Whip the cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form, then spread over the chilled pie before serving.
Notes
For food safety, use pasteurized eggs if serving to children, pregnant women, or elderly guests. Best served well chilled.
